Stand up and be counted!!!

Why you won't count if you don't vote:

We all want our fair share of tax dollars being used in our community. Why should someone lose votes to help us when we won't support them with our votes. Why should someone care how we feel if our votes won't be counted either way? We have to make our voices heard. Each person using 20 minutes a year to vote will make a large difference in  our community. People died for our right to vote. We have to do our part.

Run Through the finish line!!

Now that we've gotten registered, we have to make sure to vote. The race is not over yet. How would you feel if your candidate lost Tennessee by one vote and you didn't vote? The solution is simple, call at least 5 friends and make sure that they vote. If you feel strongly about this cause, call 100 people. Spread the word, we need to vote to complete our job. We may be happy that President Obama is in office, but we need to make sure that he has the help needed to be achieve the goals that we put him there to accomplish. Victory is within reach!!

Early Voting is going on now!!!

Early Voting Schedule is from July 16-July 31, 2010 at

The City of Munford Board Room, 69 College St, Munford TN

The Election Commission Office, 113 E Church St, Covington TN

Monday, Wednesday, Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm)

Tuesday, Thursday (8:30am - 6:00pm)

Saturday (8:30am - 12:00pm)

You can vote in 5 minutes time!

Ride by the election office, you can see if they have a line when you ride by. If no one is in line, go in and vote. If they have a line, come back later, you have 14 days! If you do your part to make sure that at least 1000 people vote in district 1, we can make a change because of people taking 20 minutes a YEAR to make a difference.

Do your part to take as many people to the polls as possible. If we don't vote AT LEAST 1000 people in District 1, we have no business complaining about:

1.  High Crime in our community.

2.  Low Graduation Rates in our community.

3.  High Unemployment in our community.

4.  Lack of concern about quality of life in our community.

If you do not vote in every election, you run the risk of becoming ineligible to vote. If you have ten minutes, you have enough time to vote. People died so that you would have the right to vote. There are people that do not want you to vote, and they are doing everything in their power to make sure that you don't. You must take those 20 minutes a year to make sure that those people did not die in vain.

A tribute to James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner.

You may not know these names, but you should. These young men died while promoting our rights to vote. These young men disappeared at approximately 10:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 1964. On Monday, June 22, 1964, their burned-out station wagon was found in the Bogue Chitto Swamp. Their bodies were found forty-four days later, buried in an earthen dam. These brave young men gave their lives for a privilege that we won't take ten minutes to exercise. Don't let that happen this time. Spend as much time as you can making sure that everyone votes so that Mr. Chaney's, Mr. Goodman's and Mr. Schwerner's lives were not lost in vain. You don't have to give your life, you only have to give ten minutes of your time to Stand up and be counted!!
